Automatic Travel Inconvenience Claim : Documents Needed

  • Statement for the purchase of air ticket / copy of Airline Ticket/ Boarding Pass (with flight details e.g. flight no., date, departure airport, destination, scheduled times, arrival airport, etc) (mandatory)
  • Property Irregularity Report obtained from the Airline (mandatory)
  • Evidence of expenses incurred (Sales Drafts charged for which reimbursement is claimed e.g. accommodation, meals, essential items, etc) (mandatory)

Claim Type: Purchase Protection Plan (MaybanKard) Claim

Items must be purchased by using any of the listed MaybanKard and is subject to terms & conditions of the policy:
  • 2 Cards Platinum (Visa, MasterCard or AMEX)
  • AMEX Platinum Credit Card
  • AMEX Platinum Charge Card

Purchase Protection Plan (MaybanKard) Claim: Documents Needed

  • Police Report (for theft claims) (mandatory)
  • Original purchase invoice (mandatory)
  • Credit card statement (or print screen) showing the purchase transaction (mandatory)

Return Guarantee (MaybanKard) Claim: Documents Needed

To claim for reimbursement due to product dissatisfaction with the item(s) purchased solely for personal use using any of the listed MaybanKard within 90 days from the date of purchase; in which the retailer has refused to accept the return of the purchased item(s):
  • 2 Cards Platinum (Visa, MasterCard or AMEX)
  • AMEX Platinum Credit Card
  • AMEX Platinum Charge Card

The insured is required to send the item to Etiqa (i.e. in brand-new condition) & Etiqa will reimburse the claimant subject to policy terms & conditions

Return Guarantee (MaybanKard) Claim: Documents Needed

  • Original purchase invoice (mandatory)
  • Credit card statement (or print screen) showing the purchase transaction (mandatory)
  • Confirmation from retailer on refusal to accept return of purchased item (mandatory)
  • Credit card slip (optional)
  • Repair invoice/ quotation (for accidental damage claims) (mandatory)
  • Photos of the damaged item (for accidental damage claims) (mandatory)

Extended Warranty (MaybanKard) Claim: Documents Needed

To claim for an extension of the original manufacturer's warranty for the covered appliance, items must be purchased entirely using any of the listed Maybankards for up to 24 months, with the total coverage period including the original manufacturer's warranty not exceeding 48 months:

  • AMEX Platinum Credit Card
  • AMEX Platinum Charge Card
